CIA agents Townston and Mason were convinced that they had closed a bizarre serial killer case in Bosnia. They had sworn themselves to secrecy about the true nature of the killer, fearing that the world wasn’t ready for what they had witnessed.
It is now weeks later. More bodies are found a world away in the Yucatan with the same cause of death indicated, the missing heart of each victim with no visible incision. The agents are faced with the possibility that the killer hadn’t been caught, or that others like him had surfaced in the jungles of the Yucatan. If the Agency finds that they had withheld information in the Bosnian case that could have prevented this new rash of murders their careers will be on the line. Their service to the Country would be over.
